It’s made with eco-friendly, water repellent Eco Finish, which is manufactured without the use of fluorocarbons (PFC). The VAUDE Green Shape label stands for environmentally-friendly, functional products made from sustainable and bluesign certified materials.
Green Shape
Green Shape is the VAUDE seal of approval for products that are manufactured in a particularly environmentally friendly manner. This includes the complete production cycle from development and production to maintenance and usability after use. The criteria for this are strict. The products must consist either of at least 90 percent organically grown cotton, recycled materials or the Tencel wood fibre. Furthermore, they must have been dyed with the environmentally friendly dyeing process VAUDE eColour or meet the world’s strictest environmental textile standard Bluesign. VAUDE’s goal is the best for man and nature.
Eco Finish
VAUDE products with Eco Finish are environmentally friendly and water-repellent without fluorocarbons (PFC). PFC belong to a group of chemical compounds that are used in many outdoor products to impregnate the outer fabric. They have been criticised for not being degradable, accumulating in the body and being suspected of being harmful to health. VAUDE has a clear commitment not to use PFC at all.
